The application deadline has been closed for this year's calls for proposals for the SCIENCE Award and the SCIENCE Award Sculpture Solution, that were announced by the NZZ in cooperation with Novi list.
Twenty-one applications have been submitted for the call for proposal for the SCIENCE Award 2010. Seven applications have been submitted within the category of social sciences and humanities, eight applications within the category of natural and biomedical sciences and six applications within the category of technical and biotechnical sciences. The results of this year's call for proposals for the SCIENCE Award will be announced in June at the SCIENCE Award Presentation Ceremony.
Forty-one students have submitted their applications for the SCIENCE Award Sculpture Solution 2010. Eight applications were submitted by the students of The Academy of Arts of the University of J.J. Strossmayer in Osijek, thirteen by students The Academy of Applied Arts of the University of Rijeka, seven by students of The Academy of Arts of the University of Split and fourteen by students of The Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Zagreb. The results of the call for proposals for the SCIENCE Award Sculpture Solution will be published after the evaluation.

The first application deadline in 2010 was closed on Thursday, 15 April 2010. The NZZ has received 84 project proposals submitted to seven different Calls for Proposals. The evaluation procedure will be conducted during May and the results will be published during June. The next application deadline for six currently open Calls for Proposals is 15 October 2010.
