SCIENCE Award 2010 Presentation Ceremony PDF Print

SCIENCE Award 2010 presentation ceremony was held in Rijeka on June 16th 2010. Zdravko Marijić from the Faculty of Electric Engineering and Computing of the University in Zagreb was awarded in the category of technical and biotechnical sciences and Mijo Šimunović from the Faculty of Science of the University in Zagreb in the category of natural and biomedical sciences. The award in the category of social and humanities was not presented.
The winners received 20.000 Kuna from the NZZ, a laptop and a mobile phone from Novi list and a sculpture by Boris Sekulić, a second year student from the Academy of Arts of the University in Rijeka. Sekulić won in call for the SCIENCE Award 2010 Sculpture Solutions and was awarded with 5.000 Kuna by the NZZ.

The Board of the NZZ announces new application deadline for European Science Foundation‘s Research Networking Programme titled   “The New Physics of Compact Stars (CompStar)“. The deadline for the application to the NZZ for the programme is 21st June 2010.

The National Foundation for Science, as a member of the European network of ASPERA, organises the ASPERA Croatian National Day on May 27th 2010, at the NZZ office in Opatija. ASPERA (AstroParticle ERAnet) is an European network of national agencies responsible for funding research efforts in Astroparticle Physics, whose goal is to encourage the development of this new multidisciplinary field of research.
